At least for the shops, "dive show season" marks the end of winter and the begining of spring diving.

Learn to Ice Dive

OK OK. First of all there was no ice this year, we had oodles of peopled lined up to go, but according to our ice diving instructor there was no solid ice anywhere from Cape Cod to NH . Now you all can't honestly look me in the face and tell me that you go out as much this time of year as you do in June. A weekend here or there maybe, but not a lot more than that. Secondly if you look right here http://www.pgdive.com you can see we had people going out all winter. However for the average, non-dryusit diver, there is a local dive season.
