It would also be possible to rent photo gear in Bonaire (I know there is a place at Buddy's), decide what you want, then order on-line from the US and get shipped to you.

Dave
Dbh,

Have you done that before?

How would the shipping costs and import duty work?

Thanks!

I think that you will find the selection of rental photo gear on Bonaire rather limited. For example, Fish Eye Photo rents Sea & Sea gear. (I am not saying there is anything wrong with Sea & Sea).

Unless you are looking at something high-end, like a DSLR or multiple lenses, small point and shoot setups with a strobe are not that expensive or difficult to pack in a carry-on bag.
helimvee,

For now I need to get a strobe and a Big Eye lens. My concern is that those two things are very specific for my camera (G10 with WP-28 Case) so I am afraid of not finding it there.

But the strobe it would be great to try couple before buying it.

Thanks!
