I saw a full face mask on scubatoys and i was wondering how you equalize with it. The padi OW manual says not to use something that you cant reach your nose with(or something like that) and I didnt see any space for you to equalize with one. :06:

Was it one of those Ocean Reef masks? These have little knobs positioned just right so when you push the entire mask against your face the knobs seal off your nose.

That's right... we also carry the poseidon full face mask as well as the new smaller ocean reef, and all of them have a nostril blocking thing in them... when you push up on the top of the mask, it raises them against your nostrils and allows you to valsalva. Takes a few mintues to get the hang of it - then it's pretty easy.

All FFMs and helmets (like a Kirby-Morgan type) have these little things. Although most of the guys that have been diving helmets or FFMs for a long time can just swallow or 'click' their ears and equalize.
