Hello

have an education question on environmentally sealed regs. - apologies for the newbie question, just trying to learn.

The way I understand it, environmentally sealed regs are preferred in cold water diving to prevent parts form freezing. I would imagine they also offer some benefit in dark/murky/contaminated diving conditions over time. In warm, tropical diving (deep and shallow), would such a feature offer any value ? I have also seen regs with heat sinks for use in cold water, in warm water, any benefit to this ?

thanks

No

ESR will prolong the life of your regulator

so does an environmentally sealed reg need to be serviced yearly ? or should it be serviced yearly ? I know manufacturers recommend yearly, same apply to sealed regs ?
thanks

Have them serviced according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
