Is it something ON the reflector, or is it perhaps the reflector itself wearing away?

Too funny.

What I think: The EKPP getting all gross is an indicator that the reflector is about to fall off on your next night dive (when you least expect it) and you're gonna chuck the thing soon, anyway.

I just read your post on losing your reflector over on TDS.
What are you using now? I see the new Halcyon Explorer lights come with what they call the ultra bright reflector.

And I chucked the one that fell apart into the ocean. Its part of a reef somewhere in Malibu.

Damn thing.
