It comes recommended if your goal is to dive-dive-dive and for some reason you don’t want to go on a liveaboard and you don’t need shopping, clubs and the other tourist things. Staff is super and the founder Hossam Helmy one of the true Red Sea pioneers.

I dived with DIVERS HOUSE, who are at the southern part (and quieter) of the Dahab strip. Yasir was our guide, although he is an instructor so his availability may be limited.
There is also accommodation at the dive centre but it was full when I planned to go with only a few days notice, plus is was also during Eid Al Adha.
I stayed at the Star of Dahab hotel basically next door, it was not expensive AED1,960 / USD535.50 through Booking.com for 10 nights. It's basic and clean, has AC plus a fridge.
Breakfast was provided at the dive centre usually before we left, and it's a very relaxed way of diving.
The shore dives in Dahab itself have small coffee shops / restaurants on the shoreline where you gear up etc., as well as spend the SIs.
