I've been diving off my friend's boat this summer and been doing a lot of diving at Egg Rock in Nahant which we found has been quite productive for bug hunting. Great dive, tons of scenery, lots of bugs, flounder, skates, saw two dog fish a week ago, a sea raven, etc.

Someone had informed me that there might be a cavern under Egg Rock. I did a bit of exploring on the inward side but couldnt find anything. I was trying to google it and look for some research; i've came across a lot of history about Egg Rock but nothing that leads me to believe there is any sort of cavern there. I know there is another Egg Rock in Maine maybe they confused it for this site?

Anyone know if this is true?

Yes, there is an Egg Rock in Bar Harbor Maine and as of this past Sunday we have found a second cave/cavern that goes in approx. 30ft. There is also an awesome swim through at 45' deep that takes you up and inside the Island at low tide. At high tide you can swim over the rocks to get back out.

You can check out our site at http://www.underwatersuperhero.com and http://divered.com. Eddie runs a weekly dive charter on his boat to various locations around Frenchman Bay.
