Not finding my exact 'symptoms' in the archives, so off we go . . .

OK, symptoms are as follows during & after dives:
>equalization tough on the way down; sometimes really have to 'blow' hard to break loose the pressure and return to comfort.
>after dive have moderate to sever blockage in sinuses and Eustachian tubes; hearing is diminished fairly seriously in one or both ears - no pain.
>after each dive - on boat - mix of mucous (snot) and water tinged with miniscule amounts of blood draining profusely from nose but still feels like sinuses are totally 'locked up' - again, no pain, just irritating.
>2 to 3 hours after last dive, having blown nose repeatedly, something 'breaks loose' in sinuses and water will literally drain from my nose (family and traveling companions never fail to be amused by the display).
>over the course of 5 or so hours after last dive, hearing gradually returns to normal.
>Holding nose and blowing makes it all worse and last longer (equalizing on land, if you will).
>Ascent and descent from flying has almost always also locked up my hearing - with the same 3 to 5 hours gradual return to normal. In the instance of flying there is sometimes pain.
>never develop infections. Just irritating nuisance.

Additional stuff: as a child, I had allergies galore, used to get shots for them. Today, at 45, still have to go on (prescription) Allegra (fexofenadine hcl) for the warmer months to survive the multitude of pollens that frequent our Western Washington St. area. If I thought about it, I always seem to have some snot in the pipes to the extent of feeling like I've got a load of ear wax built up (I don't though - some, but not enough to cause the feeling).

Got my OW off Maui last year, and am currently putting together cold water gear to dive locally in the Puget Sound. REALLY dig diving (shoulda got my cert *years* ago). So I need to deal with the issue. I promise I will go see an MD about it - so consider that stipulated. But I'm hoping somebody else out there recognizes my symptoms in themselves or someone close, and got it resolved, so that my concerns can be quelled. And assuming so, what did it? (Again, promise to go see an MD - not trying to end-run and self-medicate.)

TIA!
Sorry for the length.
Cheers.

I'm not qualified to say barotrauma but this is where caca hit the fan I think: "equalization tough on the way down; sometimes really have to 'blow' hard to break loose the pressure and return to comfort."

There is a 45 minute video with a lot of help linked in my Sig below. Keep checking back for professional opinions over the next few days...
