The last couple dive weekends, I returned and developed a severe ear infection. The first was in my right ear; which, cleared up with antibiotics and drops. A couple weeks later I returned from another dive trip and developed an infection in the left ear. I've never had this type of trouble before following any dive trips.

Being fairly new to the sport, I'm not going too deep. I would say I average between 30-50' foot.

Any advice? Would using the "swimmers ear" drops following a dive help?

I use 'home brew' after each and every dive....never an ear infection issue. I would strongly sugg. that scuba divers use some form of drops after diving....it is simple/easy and cheap!

Are you diving fresh water or salt water, warm or cold?
If you filled in your profile we'd have a little more to go on...

I just got over the same thing, first one ear, then the other. I had not been using any drop and I paid for it. Bought some swimmers ear dry drop from wherever and no problems since

After each dives used ear cottons and ear drop clean it prevent infection..
