I just don't log dives
I make my own Ear Beer out of 50% Iso Alcohol and 50% White Vinegar and put in an ear drop bottle. Use morning before dives and after last dive to clear and clean ears. We get some nasty stuff in the gulf of mexico.

This time of year I go through a bottle pretty quick. But Sunday, grabbed an old bottle that I thought I lost from last year and accidentally used. My ears are fine and beer looked OK to use. Is there a shelf life on your home made brew? Any assumptions on how long the brew is effective?

Do your bottles of alcohol or vinegar have a "use by" date?

I would guess there isn't much chance for bacteria to grow in that mix.

I would only worry if the cap was off, giving a chance for evaporation and a change in the mixture.

Ear Beer is best served at room temperature and goes well with Ear Cheese.

This from a Cooking Channel crossover episode during Shnark Weak.
