Where can I dive with a ready availability (1 week notice) of a weak nitrox like 28%?

I would like to explore the deeper rec depths, but don’t want to be narced out of my mind nor do I want to go full trimix yet.

For personal reasons, I also prefer 1.4 PPO2.

Nitrox does not reduce narcosis

if i remember right (i could be wrong so pls confirm for yourself), Tankha in playa del carmen always dives 28%.
but i assume any shop in that area can simply request that mix. but you pay extra for it. tankha used to include it.

Drain your AL80 of 32% down to 1900; top off to 3000 with air. The result will be 28%.

You will not see any narcosis benefits by using nitrox according to our current understand of gas narcosis which shows that Oxygen is comparably narcotic to Nitrogen. There are also gas density issues which lead to CO2 narcosis if you are working.

Most places that offer nitrox will custom blend it for you, but you may or may not like the price. If they bank EAN32 it will be considerably more expensive to partial pressure blend it, but if they are already PP blending then you will not see a price difference.
