I just had the pl5 in the water last weekend upgrading from a pl1. Noise wasn't horrible with the 60 but it hunts much more.
If you turn on the "gears" custom menu (wrench icon/menu display), the first option is AF mode. I set movie mode to s-af+m and I can focus with a half press on the shutter or manually. It seems to work with the quick record button in any photo mode too.
