had a stainless Victorinox Knife that a crabber gave me

Ditto, cheap, sharp does the job.
 
I keep a couple of those little Victorinox knifes on my boat.......awesome little knives!
 
Oh I'll add one: the DGX Titanium drysuit destroyer
Sharp enough to cut right through its sheath. Points on dive knives are dumb.

Points on the dive knives are not dumb if I need it to pierce a bladder on a lionfish. Divers who use knives inappropriately or carelessly maybe dumb…
 
Is there a very expensive story behind that name?


He’s not wrong, it will poke a hole in the upper thigh area, buts it not expensive to fix just annoying. It should not be carried in the stock sheath without either turning it 90 and / or grinding the top off
 
Turn what 90 degrees? The sheath? It doesnt have a horizontal pass through for webbing.
Or take a grinder or a file to it.

Points are good for hunting but do require a good sheath. I got a bunch of pinholes in an inflatable tube once due to a crappy sheath.
