Liz,
My wife and I are looking at planning a trip to Bonaire and were wondering...

Do any of the travel sites (apple vacations, expedia, etc.) have your hotel as a package deal with flights? Or is it better to find the best flight and book directly through you?

Thanks
Dennis

I am sure that Liz will get back to you asap.. You may do best to get dates from her on room availability and then arrange airfare.
I have a group going end of May ..If interested you can PM me and I will give you details and costs.

I'm pretty sure GRI shows up on Expedia.

Having planned a good many Boniare trips, your just as well off doing it yourself. Work out the dates with the resort, most on Bonaire will arrange a package deal for you and then find your own air. With the web, 800 numbers and email, it's fairly easy.

Sorry for the delay, we have been VERY BUSY...a great thing..

Dennis...call me (actually email me right now we are having trouble with our toll free number getting here to Bonaire...it is ringing busy..busy...or call me direct at 011 599 717 57 59 and I can arrange everything for you.

We will, as soon as we figure out dates. Good to hear you're busy, we look forward to keeping you busy in the future.

Keep in mind that for the most part with sites like Expedia, etc you will not get a better price than booking with a hotel directly, but the hotel will get less money since Expedia or whoever takes a cut.

With a Hyatt or Hilton or whatever who cares, but when the hotelier is a small, independently owned operation (especially if it's one of SB's own...) why deprive them of the hard earned income with no benefit to yourself?

PS - note that even at the large chains you will likely be treated differently coming in through a consolidator/website vs booking with the hotel directly even at the same room rate. (Getting better room locations, upgrades, etc)

Great point. My wife and I always like to do buisness with local privately owned around here.

But.... when there's a huge price difference it has to be looked into as well.

There are 4 of us going down in Feb. I have enough to do so I just turned it over to Liza at Golden reef. She got us a better deal than I had been able to find and she took care of everything. Flight, truck, diving, accomodations, sigh, why did I waste 2 weeks researching instead of just calling her in the first place. It is my first time to Bonaire so it is nice to have her expertise on tap. She has also been great at responding to any questions that have come up (and I have come up with several lol). No this ISN"T a paid advertisement, I live and work in Utah. I just believe in giving credit where credit is due.
