Has anybody seen or tried these new tags for identifying divers underwater or equipment above the water?

ProductCart shopping cart software - YourBagTag.com

The custom tags are made of high quality polypropylene webbing material, with a custom neon colored stitched name for your name, company name, nickname, etc.

I remember being on a dive where my buddy and I were seperated, and with other groups in the same area and all divers looking the same underwater, it was tough to partner up with him again.

Visibility of these tags under the water is apparently very good, and I'm thinking they can be used to help keep all your gear together too?

The BCD Name Tags were mentioned in the June 2008 issue of Sport Diver Magazine, and they now have the strap-on tank straps.

I've ordered a set already but wanted to hear from others that think they are a good idea.

Hahaha - a practical lesson in look before you post! I just came across this fabulous site and ordered me some -- I had been wondering about the best way to put my name on my BC. I also ordered some plain old luggage tags - they have awesome colours: guaranteed to stand out on the baggage carrousel... :) I was all fired up to post about them but it looks like someone - or several someone beat me to it :)

That being said - has anyone come up with a nifty way for putting your name on your dive computer?? I have an Oceanic VT-3 that I dont want to lose and black sharpie on black rubber aint gonna do it... looks like it's time to go search again! :)

I am one of the owners of YourBagTag.com. Thanks for your business! When you get you tags, drop me an email with a couple of photos. We'll post them on our website and put a link back to you if you would like. What are you thinking on your VT-3? What is your mounting setup?

I have a wrist watch - do you make your neoprene wraps like for the BC on a small scale in a loop? One that could slide onto the strap of a watch? In really bright neon green colour that could carry 3 initials?? Or even just 2 would work... But I think having a non-black neoprene would be key....

just thoughts - I have no clue about feasibility..

I just bought an Oceanic Atom 2 for myself so I will play with it a bit and put a couple of ideas together.

Ohhh Cool! .. something that captures both pins like a waterborne ?

I saw MissD's pics, very nice

Hadn't thought about that direction on the name/initial strap, great idea...I will definitely give that some thought.

Thanks! I thought MissD's tags came out well. Here is a picture of my personal YourTankTag:

Cool! .... I smell a potential discount ;-)
You also might make them just a tad longer than the waterborne, mine is about 11.5" and it barely makes around my wrist with my 7mm suit on, an inch or two more would be nice

My next thought is if you could do tank straps (cam bands) that were sent to you, or have some in stock, so you could use the one that came on your BC, and not have to add a strap to your tank

Either a silver Sharpie or white paint pen will do the job on anything black.
