hi all, I think this might make my 5th newbie question in a row !! ok... so.. dump valves on bcs, anyone tell me where i can pick up some replacement string/cord for the pull string?? mine is about done and i want to replace it, whats that stuff made of anyway?? nylon???

Go to the dive shop, they'll most likely have it for you. Some divers like to replace it with a heavier line by just enlarging the hole in the cover so the line wont catch, and using line from a finger spool. But if you want the same string, back to the dive shop.

Yep, it's nylon. Nylon cave or wreck line will work and many dive shops stock it. Otherwise try the local hardware store or hobby store where you may be able to find suitably small braided nylon line.
