My wife has tried the dry mouth regs etc no luck

Yes, that's why I said it worked. You do have to fuss with it and put water in it but (for me) it solves the dry mouth problem.

She loved the scuda but cannot find them anymore

But how will the great unwashed know you are a DIVER if your watch does not have a bezel I suspect that may be important to some people. I will admit that my only watch is a Seiko with a red and blue rotating bezel

The bezel was very important when deep diving, as one does not want to rely on memory for time at depth, it may be hard enough to figure out what it means in any event.
