Hi all,
I have a wrist slate that I've been trying to mount make a more comfortable wrap for. My thought was to run some shock cord through two pieces of surgical tubing. The shock cord would be a continuous loop that goes through all of the holes in the wrist slate, and the two pieces of surgical tubing would be to make the shock cord secure, but not cut into my arm as much as simple shock coard would.

My question is, how do I get the shock cord through the surgical tubing. I've seen it done on regulator necklaces, but I don't know how. I've spent hours trying to do it, and it's a royal pain in the butt. I'm wondering if I'm missing an obviously simple method.

Yeah, I've tried that. For whatever reason, all the surgical tubing I've found has a 1/8" I.D. and the smallest shock cord I can find has a 1/8" O.D. The surgical tubing doesn't allow much room for it to slip throw. If it could find a 3/16" I.D. surgical tubing, I wouldn't have this issue.

Tape it to the end of a metal coat hanger and push it through. :)
