Hi, I have a DUI TLS-350 trilaminate drysuit with a leaky front quick zip and I was looking at replacing it myself. Done a lot of reading and it seems within my grasp but I also see conflicting advice.

DRIS recommends I use their drysuit glue on the zipper then sew and aquaseal. The factory zip looks to be sewn and aquasealed. I've read everything from "just glue and aquaseal" to "a 350 can only be sewn". Curious if there's more recent advice.

Thanks!

wrist or neck seals I would try to do myself, as far as zipper goes- have someone with experience do it for you-check out Steve Gamble in Fla.-he does tons of drysuit repairs

just had one on a tls350 done by steve
great job no leaks

I think the tls material is one of the few where you actually need to sew stuff like zippers and pockets on. You could always prep the fabric really well and use a good glue, but if it was me I’d listen to DRIS.

I agree with you -have seen pockets glued on and over time started to open seams-if that happens with a zipper you are going to be mighty wet..
