Heading to the DUI drysuit demo at Lake Wazee in Black River Falls, WI. Any tips or advice on getting the most I can out of it? Is it worth getting tickets for both days? Would trying them out on Sunday be better?

We did out first one last year. Are you doing it through a LDS or doing with DUI?

Just showing up on my own, and it's run by DUI so not really sure about the question.

Are you allready a drysuit diver, or is this going to be a first drysuit dive?

Do you know which suit or suits you want to demo, and which undergarments?

If you go with a dive shop they will take you on the dives, if you are on your own you will dive with someone from DUI or helping DUI with the event.

If you don't dive dry or have a drysuit inflator hose on your regs you need to bring your regs with you when you check in at the tent. They also want to bring all your gear to the tent and have it set up and ready to go before you are fitted.

Buy your tickets online and download the forms and have it all filled out in advance. Show up about 1/2 hour early and start the line, this should get you at the head of the line and most likely you will get everything you want to try.

I would do both days, for ten bucks and lunch included it is a good deal. Sundays may have less of a crowd.

I have not dove in a drysuit yet, but am thinking of doing the drysuit class before the demo.

I'm thinking of the new Flex Extreme, but have no idea about undergarments yet.

Make sure you bring either your drivers license or a credit card and your "C" card to the check in tent.

Be prepared to change into the under garments and your dry suit in the tent and in front of everyone, and bring a bag to put your clothes and shoes in.

Here in Va you can buy tickets through your LDS and do the demo through the LDS. We did ours though the LDS and if was very confusing with such a large group trying to get ready at the DUI tent at one time. Which meant many were waiting in the water all ready to go while us at the end of the line (me and daughter) were holding things up. But you can only go as fast as the guys at the tent can dress you. It was my expereince that you could wait and make up your mind when you get there if you wanted to add another day. This year I would do it your way, just go and let DUI take me out. Just bring all your gear. They will have extra fins, as you may find the your fins will not work with the Rock boots, they have extra hoods, gloves, pretty much anything you may not have or that will not work with the dry suit. I would suggest that you get your gear completely ready and down by the water, so when you are outfitted all you need to do is walk down to the waters edge. Try to keep yourself from running back and forth.
Most important, go to the bathroom before you go to be fitted. As I did not plan for the amount of time things would take and once fitted I then needed to run to the bathroom. I would try to plan to do mine at the least crowed part of the day.

Good Luck!

Doing the class and getting some experience before demo would be a big plus, you will get more out of experience.

I really like the Flex Extreme. The power stretch polartech is well worth trying. You will also have a choice of dry gloves or wrist seals.

What exactly would that be, like Saturday Afternoon after lunch and all of sunday? I'm also trying to decide if we want to get a hotel room the night before and get their early on Saturday or drive up Satruday morning and just do Sat afternoon and all of sunday. (got a 2.5 hour drive)

10-4 to the bathroom run. For some reason the cold water makes you want to pee right now!
