I was stabbing flounder with a buddy at Cape Lookout several years ago. He had about 10 flounder on his stringer. We usually spearfish as a buddy team there as it's popular for Great Whites, so you can watch each others backs. The taxman showed up, and with one pass took all 10 of them off at the head.

He throwed down his spear and got back on the boat with 10 flounder heads on his stringer. He no longer wanted the spear, he said just leave it. My boy was "all shook up". LOL

I've had to fight a sandtiger for a grouper before. He gave it up and left after some poking with the speargun.
