hello and thank you for any help/ advice that i receive I currently have a single ikelite ds-160 strobe on my nikon d90/ ikelite housing and am thinking about adding a second ds-160 to my kit. My question is is there a optimal distance that the strobes should be apart that would cover most shooting situations.I am using the recommended arms from ikelite sa-100 that give about 14 inches of reach. Would another sa-100 arm set be ok or should I go wider and if so any thoughts on a manufacturer I would like to keep the new arms as light as possible. thanks.

I, too, have a Ike housing for my D90, along with a single ds161. I often refer to the link below. Here's the link to the "Strobe Positions" chapter within uwphotographyguide.com. It's a wonderful resource. Be sure to bookmark it!

It's the link above from 'jdandvalerie' followed by "underwater-photography-strobe-positioning". Sorry, I'm "only allowed to post URLs after I've made 5 posts or more"....it's an anti-spam thing. Anyway, good luck!
