Been diving my Bare Nex-Gen for a couple of years now.
At some point today a crescent shaped piece of the wrist seal got torn off.

I'm wondering if replacement seals are available & if this is something I could take on myself?

Yep, replacing your own seals, wrist or neck, is a very easy task. Bob3 (you can PM him), on this board, has the seals at a very good price and is a very good source for information on your wrist seal job. This site http://www.nrsweb.com/repair/gasket_replacement.asp will show you how to get the job done. It's the neck seal being demo'd, but wrist seal replacement is done the same way. FWIW, I use PB300 and not AquaSeal/Cotol, but that's just personal preference. My friend uses the AquaSeal/Cotol mix and has excellent results.
If ya don't get enough opinions here (haha) and need additional advice, you can PM me. Good Luck!!
