Drysuit Undergarment Tightness?

You don't want it to restrict motion/movement at all. A little loose is OK.

However you don't want it TOO loose, because if there's too much extra material you might have a hard time "stuffing" it into a drysuit with the result being that it's now too TIGHT. Especially if it starts folding over on itself, etc.
 
It should be a form fitting garment but it must provide for full range of motion. If it's a little big that's OK. The problem with being oversize is that it will be providing buoyancy without benefit and that means needless weight must be worn. Get the best fit you can. Also in choosing the garment (and suit) be sure to consider the full range of underclothes. By this time of the year many divers are layering down but will need room for more in the fall & winter.
