Lots of other good reasons for choosing socks:
  • Keeps the dirt off the suit if you've been walking over muck
  • Keeps the dirt out of the bag
  • Suit folds more compactly
  • Can use different boots according to the terrain
  • Can replace the boots when they rot/wear out
  • They're massively better for trim as the socks are tighter
  • ... and the suit can be turned inside out to dry.

I didn’t do the survey, but I wouldn’t be using some big drysuit thingamajig. Small place, my suit lives on the back of the unused second bathroom door that goes to my bedroom. It’s hung on a HangAir fan, which I haven’t needed to use with new DUI suit yet.

Was odd to be asked about rinsing a drysuit. Never do that unless it's raining or diving in freshwater. Only maintenance is waxing the zips ever 3rd day or so and pee valve cleaning (every dive).
Just wait until the day your p-valve hose gets disconnected...
