Drysuit Sock Reinforcement

Evening everyone, I have neoprene socks on my dry suit. They are looking stressed where they contact my boots. The black has gone out of the area. They dont leak at all, but look as though they will eventually wear a hole in the socks.
Has anyone reinforced areas with Iron Mend? What has anyone else done to strengthen areas in a drysuit? Or do I need to find looser boots?

it's just neoprene, you can patch it with aquaseal if you want, but if the neoprene wears out, replacing the isn't hard.
