Fellow divers,
I'm still new to this DS stuff and I'm wondering what you are using on your latex wrist and neck seals prior to dooing your suit.
I heard people using talc powder.

Do you just use regualr talc powder that you get at your local pharmacy or something more specialise?
any other method that people use?

Thanx!

McNett has a uv liquid that I use which was Recomended by the dry suit repair genius Steve Gamble, one bottle can last a decade, along with unscented talc from time to time. Store inside if possible. Seals are a consumable so don't worry about what you did wrong when they die, just get new ones!

Avoid any kind of perfumed or scented or otherwise adulterated talc. The additives may attack latex.

Pure corn starch works the same as talc.

I am especially cautious to use pure products post-dive when the seals may be stored for a considerable time.

Google "tire talc"

But be careful...I found a great deal and didn't realize I'd bought more than I'll ever need 'til after I hit the buy button. :D

Ordinary talcum powder without perfume. The one intended for babies. From the local supermarket. The zipper requires some cleaning and lubrication too.

Water based Personal Lubricants are becoming popular for ease of donning and doffing, especially wrist seals.
There's no way in Hades or Hel that I'm buying a bottle of that to bring on a club trip.
