I just don't log dives
I do most of my diving in the northeast (US and Canada), in cold water (40 - 70F), in a drysuit.

This winter, I'll be in Florida and the Carribean for a little while, and was wondering if there's any reason I couldn't use my drysuit.

Will I be too warm in a drysuit in southern Fla, Cozumel or Grand Cayman?

What should I use for DS underwear? The thinnest stuff I have is the Weezel Compact.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Terry

You'll probably get some "funny looks", but then, what the heck?

The waters will more than likely be in the upper 70° to lower 80° range, so your Weazle will probably be overkill. Just wear some lightweight long underwear and maybe a sweatshirt and you'll probably be fine.

I like being wet in the warm waters, it helps when your topside from overheating. However I love my drysuit for the colder local dives.

I dive dry here in the caves in Mexico, it is not really nessicary all year round, but if you are doing long dives, or during the winter it takes the edge off. I wear regular lightweight fiberpile underwear under my DR 905 trilam. People rag me before the dive sometimes, but 2 hours later when we surface they dont.
