I posted this in the exposure suit section and didn't get much for answers. I'm going to be replacing my drysuit seals for the first time and was wondering what glue most of you recommend? Thanks!

The type of glue will be heavily dependent on the type material used to manufacture the suit. Speak to Mike at DRIS about your suit and requirement and he will quickly tell you what to use. Nothing beats real life experience and loads of practice.

Will depend on the material of the seal and of the suit. You also need to consider if you will glue to the suit or to the top of the old seal. It's also helpful to find objects that will make good inserts for keeping the neck or cuffs open while you work on them, 1,5 L bottles can work well for cuffs, some bowls, saucepans, even a smaller tank can be good for the neck.

Thanks... it is a Bare trilam hd with latex seals. I will be replacing with latex seals. I have found some jars that fit the hand cuffs well. The old seals are cracking on the cuffs but the seals after the cuff are perfect with no cracks. They are not yet leaking but I wanted to replace them before I tare them. I am not sure if I should glue to the seal or to the suit. Everything I have read and watched indicates getting all the old seal and glue off...as much as you can at least.

Anyone know anything about pb300 glue?
The only source of PB300 AFAIK (it the one of the few glues that will work with the Bare bi-lam suits, I can't speak for the Bare tri-lam) is from O.S. Systems in lovely St. Helens, OR O.S. Systems

It is a MEK solvent based glue that can be loosened with heat.

I found some DRIS glue. I have sent them an email asking if it would work on my Bare Drysuit. We shall see what they say.

I got a response from DRIS stating their glue works well with the BARE trilams so I went ahead and purchased some of that. Crossing my fingers on my first wrist seal replacement. Watched some videos and did some reading. Seems easy enough.

Like any glue project it is 80% prep and 10% skill.
