OK, for the 2 or 3 people that may be following this thread...
I am reminded of the story about the woman that cut the corner off the roast before placing it in the pot. Her daughter asked her why she did it and she replied that her mother taught her to do it that way. When the young woman saw her grandmother she asked her the same question and her reply was... I only had a small pot.
I have been diving dry for several years and have always used ankle weights as I was trained to do so... After taking part in the dialog within this thread I thought... 'Your'e never too old to learn.' I did a cold water shallow dive today for about an hour without ankle weights and low and behold... the only difference that I noticed was it was much more comfortable not feeling the pinch around my feet. Other than that it did not change my technique at all.
