The FE is very comfortable, lighter and drys much faster than the Bare but it's not a very tough suit, it began to to fall apart after 100 or so dives, external seam tape starting peeling off and it became a progressivly less dry suit.
That's a bit concerning. I would expect a £1,500+ suit to last for a lot more than just 100 dives ...
 
You sound like a candidate for a Fusion. It will fit you now and after you lose weight.


I love my fusion bullet. It is great get a custom fit without custom price. I learned to dive on tri lam but with my fusion I get much less chafing. Less drag and because it is more flexible so if you do tech it will be easier to do shut down drills etc.
