A trick I have used at a motel when on a dive trip, turn a chair upside down and put a boot and a glove on each leg. I try to use the metal legged chairs from the patio furniture if possible, but a wooden chair will work too.

After a dive I will usually fill my bathtub with luke warm water, toss all of my equipment in there, and rinse the small items (gloves, boots, fins, etc), then I'll do a thorough cleaning of my BC and Wetsuit.
When drying I lay a towel on the ground (indoor) and just toss the smaller gear on it. It takes about 2-3 days for everything to completely dry...so no big deal.

Drying tree, almost.
