How much weight do you think I need to carry with a drysuit? I weigh 220 lbs and typically carry 14 -16 lbs diving without a wetsuit...trying to make an estimate so I get a BC that will carry enough weight for me.

Thanks,

J

It's not helpful at all to extrapolate your weighting needs from a wetsuit to a drysuit + undergarments. The only way you'll know for sure how much ballast you need is to do a proper weight check while wearing your drysuit + undergarment + all of your other gear.

There are ways to add weight to your rig above and beyond what the weight-integrated pockets in your BCD will accommodate. Consider adding a weight belt, weight harness (DUI Weight and Trim), or weight pockets mounted on the tank camband(s).
