In the summer months I wear regular shorts and t-shirt under my dry suit undergarments. When the dive is over I'm still in the appropriate clothes for the weather.

What do you do in the fall when it's too cool for shorts but not really cold. Do you just drive to the dive site in the undergarment if there is no changing area nearby and the same after the dive?

I dive my softwear 300wt fleece undergarment pretty much year round. In both 70 degree lakes and 50 degree oceans.

Sometimes I'll go to the site in the undergarment, sometimes I'll just get between the doors of my car and change. Depends on how busy the divesite is.

The only thing I wear under my undies is underwear; summer or winter. If I'm worried about it, I'll change in my van or wear the undies to the dive site. Whatever works, its not important either way.

Both Pearce and I have tried the T-shirt & shorts thing, but found that with membrane suits you can wind up with nasty case of suit-squeeze & bruising behind the knees or elbows. So the least amount of clothing we'll dive in will be long sleeved t-shirts and bicycle tights with heavy socks.

That being said, we tend to change at the dive site, unless we are staying nearby the site is a very short drive away.

Normally whatever I am wearing. Shorts and a T-shirt in the summer, jeans and a sweatshirt in the winter. I try to avoid wearing the under garment itself as overwashing the insulation is not condusive to warmth.

Just to ad to the discussion, some undersuits are designed so that nothing is worn beneath them. Any clothing beneath some undersuits negates the effectiveness of the thermal and wicking properties.

Ok, I'll bite. Why did you buy it, if not to wear it?

Sorry, just HAD to ask! ;)
