I believe that you are a good instructor, for many reasons.

Wow, man... I appreciate that. I think thats the nicest thing you have ever said about me...
Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside (j/k) :)

I took both an SSI and PADI Drysuit course (long story why two courses). I believe the SSI instructor taught using BC for buoyancy and PADI taught drysuit (but it might have been the reverse). Basically, the courses were pretty much equivalent, I don’t think it matters which you take.

The drysuit card (PADI) allowed me to rent suits to test out and decide what to buy. You can adjust how you dive the suit as you gain experience. I use the BC for buoyancy control with enough air in the suit to prevent squeeze and provide warmth.

Where did you get the idea that PADI divers use their suits for bouyancy..?

Hey man, don't let it get to your head. You're still the evil shop-monkey, even though you don't work at a shop anymore ;)

OT: :overlord: new smilies!

I ended up going with the ssi dry suit training. One night of class, one pool dive, and one open water dive. The class room and the pool are done and next weekend ill do the open water. I found the dry suit very easy to get use too in the pool. I wish we went straight to the open water because it was very hot in the pool with the drysuit. I see why so many of you trained your self to use a drysuit its very easy.
