I just bought a "new" dry suit. It's a Mobby's dry suit which I think is no longer in business. It has never been in the water so it was a good deal I think. I would like to get some mods done to it and find a place that can service it should I need it. Is there anyone in the Denver/Colorado area and if not can anyone recommend a shop somewhere else?
Jack

Superior Diving Repair in Minnesota works on Mobby's suits. I know Steve Gamble in Florida, who is also frequently recommended for suit work, does not. The material of which the suits are made is only compatible with certain adhesives, so it's important that the person working on the suit knows what he can use and what doesn't work.

TSandM is lurking on the RMO forum!

(No problemo, I'm just surprised. And I wish I had had the chance to dive with you before I moved from PT to Boulder.) :D

This isn't one of the private forums, is it? As a mod, I can read a lot of stuff, but I try not to post where a membership is needed . . .

No membership needed here! I just thought you hung with the PNW crowd. No worries.

AV8TR -- if you want to test that suit out some time, give me a shout. We'll go someplace exciting like Chatfield or Aurora res.

G2,
I was just going to post up looking for dry suit buddies. I dive at the aquarium and I am going to take it there first for a quick dip then I would be open to one of the Reservoirs.

You have trespassed and now you must submit to the initiation ritual.:D

Your choice, the local oysters or calf fries, please submit a picture as proof!

I am a CO diver for sure, but ICE is something I have little interest in doing. I MAY take a class this winter for the comradery, and a new experience, OR if someone is comfortable doing ICE, the class is not a must. I do like to help the LDS's...

I think Turquoise maybe a very worthwhile drysuit dive next to the boat launch. I maybe up for that. I would assume you have an auger, and some experience diving ICE?
