We're moving back to the Bay Area, and would like to continue diving locally. And from all discussion on the board, dry suits are the way to go for Monterey. After reading this thread, I was hoping for recommendations for dry suit instructors. Any information, insight, stories are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

We're moving to the Peninsula (still finding a place to rent), but we're willing to travel for good instruction. Of course, if there is someone between Belmont and Santa Clara, that would be the best, since s/he'd be more local to us. However, if there is someone who is highly recommended, and we need to travel, well, then we'll travel.

Thanks a lot. Looking forward to get into some cold water diving.

In Santa Clara, there's a shop called Diver Dan's - www.diverdans.com

With their extensive instructor database, you should be able to find a drysuit class to fit your needs, give them a call and they'll be glad to help you.

Specifically, I've only worked with one instructor there, I did my divemaster through him, Todd Sieber. You can email him directly at todd@underpressuredivers.com

PM me if you need any more info.

I can recommend Dan Galender (also an instructor at Diverdan's). He is on this board as WileEDiver.
