I am 5'2", with a 35" waist, 160 lbs. All medium drysuits would be fine based on my waist size and weight, but they typically are made for individuals 5'6" or more. Do I have any options other than having a drysuit custom made?

Go to http://www.abyssdivingsuits.com and read up on the 4mm crushed neopren Pro Kevlar suit. Then go to http://www.tamdive.com (Toronto Can.) and talked to them over the phone for a price. As of today, I could get a custom suit for $1500 CAN (roughly $1100US) which included shipping to Michigan. That is a steal! I've never seen a tougher suit than this one and the quality is great. I love mine.

You could get a "semi-custom" suit which is basically a medium suit that has two of the three major measurements (torso length, leg length, arm length) shortened to your size.

Just my $.02

If price isn't an issue, check out DUI site they are in my humble opinion the industry leaders, and have very nice suits. Their custom made suits are guarenteed to fit you perfectly, and they last a very long time. Given the period of time they can be used, they actually wind up being cheaper than neoprene in the long run.

Sea you in the Deep Blue!

If you check out their website they also have specials on custom suits that are onhand because someone either ordered them, paid the deposit & walked away from them, or had them repaired left it with them.

Either way, you could wind up with a DUI for a really good price!

FYI, I am 5'4" and have a DUI 350TLS custom trilam, as does my 6'4" hubby. His first DUI was a CF200.

I love it & those great rock boots!

Good luck,

Northern Diver (UK) turns out some high quality custom cut drysuits for little more than the cost of an off the rack suit.
They come in several types of materials, and are quite a bit cheaper than other premium suits.
Only bad thing is about a 1 month wait. You can also have them install SiTech valves rather than the more common Apeks, usualy at no extra charge.
