Hi, I just joined the community. I moved here a few month back and just started diving in Vancouver, great. First time in a dry suit and it was awsome.
I thought it was easier to control my boyancy. Has anyone had similar experiences?
Since I am new to Vancouver I am looking for dive buddies to get out there.

I have only had my drysuit in the pool so far. I'll be taking my classes in April. I to thought the boyancy control was eaiser. I'm just wondering if it will still be as easy at depth as it is in the pool.

I haven't had a problem with the rental drysuit I used for my class. I am still in the purchasing process for my own. My experience is that is was not too hard to control, and I needed the same weight as I did for my wetsuit (which my instructor said he had never seen before).

Oh, and Welcome!!!

Awesome! I dive out the west coast about once a year. There's tons of divers out there - I think you have the best diving in the world at your feet.

Drysuits are just better because they help make diving more comfortable for us cold water divers. My fav is repetitive diving. It just seems SSOOO much easier to do two or more dives than in the 7mm wetsuit.

Keep us posted on the dives - have you dove Whytecliff yet?
