I have only had my drysuit in the pool so far. I'll be taking my classes in April. I to thought the boyancy control was eaiser. I'm just wondering if it will still be as easy at depth as it is in the pool.

Jafo123,
It is as eay in the depth as in the pool. There is no real need to be worried about an ascend with feet up, unless you have problems with your first stage like I had on my 2nd dive without noticing it. So the drysuiy got blown up without control, so did the BCD. I did not realize it fast enough so I ascended fast and lost control and my feet popped out of the boots. Now I will remember to take of the low pressure hose of the suit. It is fun to be warm and dry under water. Have fun with your course.

Awesome! I dive out the west coast about once a year. There's tons of divers out there - I think you have the best diving in the world at your feet.

Drysuits are just better because they help make diving more comfortable for us cold water divers. My fav is repetitive diving. It just seems SSOOO much easier to do two or more dives than in the 7mm wetsuit.

Keep us posted on the dives - have you dove Whytecliff yet?

I will dive Whytecliff this coming weekend. Any suggestions what to look for?

look for crevices with lots of white, broken shells. Look really deep and I'll bet you'll see a tentacle.... (I apologize if you already know to look for that...)
Just have a great dive and share it so these warm water guys know why we dive cold.
