Hi Guys,

Soon here I will be getting a White's Fusion Drysuit. And so far everywhere I have looked here in the Philippines. No one offers the Course. Any ideas? I would like to Dive Dry down here since I will be spending alot of time in the water. And I will work up and getting my DM's cert.
Thank you for any help you can give me.
Kurt

p.s.
I know the water is warm down here. I just can't afford to get sick. Just playing it safe..

Look up your local PADI people. I don't know if SSI or TDI have one, but I know PADI does.

Once you take the class. Forget about using your DS for buoyancy. Use your BC for that. I don't know why they still teach using your DS for buoyancy control.. it's wrong. :)

Thank you. I did. I went through the PADI site and found nothing (Philippines).:shakehead:

Thank you.. I have contacted 4 places of which 2 have came back and said "no" we don't offer it. Because they don't have a Certified Specialty Instructor for it. I am still waiting for the others. But, according to the PADI website none of these places offer it and or are not listed as far as having them....

learn it on your own. I did. I'm not a big fan of drysuit classes. Can you find someone you know who dives dry and is willing to mentor you?

I may have to do that. The only person I know that has a Dry suit down here was the guy I talked with who sells DUI's. And for right now, maybe in a yr or 2 I can afford it. Just trying to keep cost down right now. So, I don't know how he will act if I ask him to help me with the Dry suit that is not a DUI..

That could be tricky. Were I you, I wouldn't insult him by doing that.

That's how I feel. That's why I am trying to do this on my own.. I sent off an e-mail to PADI. Just waiting for them to respond. Once I hear from them I will post what they said. But, I am hoping someone online has ideas,etc...

Order the Drysiut Material and DVD and learn on your own there is nothing to dry diving that is not discussed in the book. then just find a pool to practice skills in. Then just keep you dives shallow until you feel confident. Just my 2p.s.i
