Hi Guys:

I find that my Hollis dive boots are too narrow at the toe box. If I use just a plain sock, I'm okay. However, while using my 4th Element Arctic sock, it's rather painful. The sock gets so bunched up that it loses any insulating qualities.

Can anyone recommend a dry suit boot with a wider toe box and with a good outer sole! I primarily dive from shore so a good sole is crucial to me.

Thanks,
Claude

As crazy as it may sound, take a look at these.
They work fine with my dry suit.
I also own a pair for Caribbean diving.

I already own these for Caribbean diving and had the taller 6 mm Stealth version for New England wet suit diving.

I believe it was NWGrateful Diver who recommended them instead of the DUI Rock Boots.

They have great arch support and an excellent sole.
They are also warmer than rock boots.

How much bigger did you go than your regular shoe size for your drysuit boots?

Thx, Mike

The regular SeaSoft boots I use in the Caribbean are a size large (size 10).
The SeaSoft boots I use with the dry suit are 2XL (size 12).
The DUI Rock boot size is size 10.

You will want to make sure that your fin pockets are large enough to accomodate the boot. Luckily the fin pockets on my Atomic Liquid Blue fins were large enough. They are snug but a confortable fit.
