I have a trilam drysuit with latex wrist seals. I've heard there are some user-installable dry glove systems that somehow attach to the existing seals and don't require glue. Any ideas what they are or where to get them?

Also...suggestions for winter underwear? I've got andies 100# underwear, but it's starting to get a bit nippy.

Tanks!

Diving Concepts dryglove system... get them from Chris at:
www.covci.com cheapest price going but you have to email or call him as he doesn't have them on the website. He is going to be at DEMA so you might not hear from him for a week.

Underwear... TJ's makes a 300g fleece set to your measurements for $155. Tell them you want the Uncle Pug special with the button hole for your p-valve. http://home.att.net/~gchev91/

So no one gets their knickers in a knot... I have no interest in either of these suppliers other than it is the best deal I have found. The gals at TJ's are local to us and made a U.G. for me and then one for Shane (we paid $$$ for them just like you) and I told them they needed to go into business making these for divers.... so they did.

Here's another link to somew dry gloves

I started with the OS-Systems dry glove system which included rings and latex gloves. The only problem is that the latex gloves are thin and eventually wear out but you will notice that the gloves are over $30 to replace. You could buy the rings and the o-rings listed here. ( toward the bottom.

http://www.ossystems.com/pricelists/repair.html
( you would need the 4 Del-rings and the 4 o-rings, totaling $58.00 )

Then get the outer gloves from this place.

and liners.

This is the set up I currently use. This is much cheaper and you won't fret puncturing or ripping a glove since replacements are less that $4.

UP... you will notice this place is in Seattle.

located at Fisherman's Terminal... know it well.

We bought the lined gloves there and have enough of them to last for a while but I'm thinking the next batch will be the cheaper unlined ones and then we will just use liners.

They have lots of cool stuff in this place... marine candy :D

That's exactly what I did. Unlined ones with separate liners. the OS ring system necessitated this and it has worked well for a few years now.

I just bought a pair of the Nordic blue dry gloves and made my first dive Sunday. Unfortunately I couldn't get the two parts to stay together:( The rings on the suit and on the gloves stay just fine, but the connection where you press the two parts together seperated the moment I rolled out of the boat. Do you have any suggestions? Otherwise the inner gloves were very warm so I really would like to get them to work. :eek:ut:

MMmmmm

Did you have the rings in the right position?
There's a green and red dot on my cuff and a red dot on the glove ring. They are assembled green and red together, then rotate the glove ring until the red dots line up. TA da locked on.

My gloves must be another system after all. Judging from the photo I though it was the same. But no collored dots for me ;-0

The two sets of rings are connected by pushing the glove rings into the suit rings to a flange and they should then be tight because of the O-ring sitting i a groove on the mittle of the cylinder pushed into the suit ring. Can you picture this???

I think I'll visit my LDS tomorrow and ask what went wrong.

I also use the Diving Concepts dry glove system. I used them a couple of weekends ago and they worked great.

As for underwear, I use Weezle underwear when the water starts to get cold, but I may also get a set where UP suggested. You can't go wrong with this price. :)
