Looking for bag/back pack to carry items like dry clothes, microfiber towel, wallet, phone, keys and some tools/spare parts.

I’d prefer a typical zippered backpack style with a few compartments which makes them easier to use, more practical to store and find stuff, but don’t know of any reasonably priced which protects contents from getting wet if bag sits in a wet surface and/or gets some splashes of water. Waterproof zipper will make it expensive, but I think if the fabric is waterproof it’d suffice.

Dry bags will certainly keep things dry, but they’re generally a single large compartment roll top type bags, not the most practical to find stuff. The ones with a separate zipper pocket usually have a tiny pocket.

What else is out there?

I use a simple dry bag for the stuff that has to be dry and put it inside an old gym bag with a few compartments for the things that don't.

Looking to save money? I found that a big money saver is to get a dry bag in a hiking/camping store rather than a scuba store.

ziplock baggies. or, if you use miflex hoses, their packaging is waterproof and can be used in the dry bag. expect anything not isolated as such to get moist.

yes, moist.

I do intend on visiting an outdoor/hiking store, they may have just what I need, fabric/seams being waterproof with zippered compartments.

I tend to use several smaller dry bags in my regular gym bag. The gym bag keeps stuff separated with easy access and the stuff that needs to stay dry are in separate dry bags in gym bag pockets. It does add weight but makes finding the granola bar much easier.

I try to organize the dry bag as much as possible so that things I need getting out of the water are on top. I have also used ziplock baggies since the contents won't snag or become entangled with other items. I don't normally pack anything in the bag that does not need to be dry.

I bought my dry bag at a local outfitting store that carries durable gear for hiking, kayaking etc. Lots of sizes and colors to chose from.
