Here is what i found on the web:

Take Route 95 North to Exit 4 in Maine. At the end of the ramp, take a left onto Route 1.
After passing signs for an amusement park, look for Route 1A, a sharp turn to the right. Follow this into the center of town and take a right onto the main street with tourist shops.
Proceed on through until you come to a stop sign. Turn left, and take your next right.

You are looking for Sohier Park. a/k/a the Nubble Lighthouse parking area. If available, pick a spot near the top of the hill.

I am also heading up to dive. I emailed JC last night, and if all goes well for the rest of the day i should be out early enough tomorrow to make it out there.

What time do you plan on leaving?

we are meeting up @ 7 ...
im going to be taking off from work @4 to 4.30 i work in wakefirld .... so im guessing ill be there @ about 6 :)

Well i'll see you up there tomorrow night then. I should also be there around 6ish. Not sure if i'm going to do one or two dives. I'll have to see what time we get in for the first one.

C U up there.

Sometimes traffic can be pretty bad on rt 1 in that area. I usually take exit 7 to rt 1 south for about 0.25miles and then left onto 1A.
Have fun!

Dude -- dive SITE....;-)

Note that the wonderful state of ME has changed all of the exit numbers on I-95. Something to do with having the exit numbers match up with the mile markers....

Anyway -- I believe the York/Ogunquit exit is now 7 instead of 4.

Just to be sure -- cross the bridge into ME. Proceed until you reach the tolls (should be 7 miles from the bridge based on the new exit #). The York exit is just before you arrive at the tolls.

I also take the same route as dkerr -- traffic going towards Ogunquit (north) can be hellish at times.....

Enjoy.

Wanna change your view of Maine? Live there !!! :eyebrow:

Travelers to Nubble Light can take a RIGHT at the end of the ramp, then a left at the first set of lights. Follow that "main road" until you are "just past" Long Sands beach then take a right at the sign that says "Nubble Light/Sohier Park". It's a bit more scenic route but a pain in the *** if the beach is loaded with touristas.
