Is there a hassle in either direction across the border with tanks etc.?

I had no problem crossing the border in either direction with 2 full sets of gear in my truck.

When entering Canada I was asked if I had any weapons, so I said I had diving knives and showed the C card. That was it, they did not even give it a second look.

On the way back, American border patrol was only concerned with how much stuff did we purchase in Canada and if it was within duty-free guidelines... Go figure...
