Trust me - small sledge hammer works best. Especially on a pileing - we do a lot of UW construction and thats how we do it. Good Luck.

Any tools you take into sea water should be dropped into a bucket of automotive anti-freeze as soon as you surface. This will displace some of the salt water and prevent the immedeate corrosion that you would normally get. This is especially important with air or hydo powered tools because the sea water in the little cracks will eat the tool up really fast.
