Someone has taken Golf Ball Reef one step further. We named the reef after the numerous golf balls found along the edge of the reef. Today, Merry found a driver with a dive flag attached. Either someone was just playing through or the name of the reef has inspired others.
After being landlocked most of the month we braved the swells and recent reports of poor visibility and were pleasantly surprised. Although it was dark we enjoyed fifteen feet of visibility on the reef. At one point a bit of surge came through but not enough to spoil the dive. After surfacing we discovered that we missed a rainstorm. It's a good thing we missed it as I hate getting wet.
The usual suspects were out today including a mating pair of Thordisa rubescens and a couple of single ones as well. The water has warmed up to 55°.
