My family and I will be staying at Dreams Tulum in Aug 2009 and yes I saw the onsite dive-op was also widely recommended.

My question is what dive sites are recommended? is there beach diving?
My daughter is 11, has about 10 boat dives..oldest son 20 has about 15 dives, my 16yo and myself have approx 60dives (rescue cert) so I'm hoping for some variety.

Hi,

You will really enjoy diving at Dreams. The dive shop is called Maya Diving and is owned by Tim Day. All his staff are very professional and fun. There are a lot of sites a quick ride from the resort. Lots of swim throughs at about 30 feet, coral canyons etc. It will be great for your daughter. You can also give her the experience of cavern diving in a cenote. There are quite a few all within a 15 min drive of the shop, and are a great experience for all level of divers.

No diving from the beach, but there is a lot of snorkelling.

Enjoy your dives and trip.

Sam
