We made it up to the sunny North Shore for some great dives today.
Met up with ScubaDrew and chatted about the Sanctuary and some nudibranchs.
Glad those guys volunteer up there, ScubaDrew even chased away a youngster w/a 3 pronger today. Good job!

Anyway. we were only able to do two of our planned 3 dives as the surf started coming up and vis started to go down.

Hopefully, we'll get 3 in next time.
Here are a few shots of some of the good stuff we saw.

Amazing to see a tiger cowrie outside during the daytime - very nice. And that snow goddess is beautiful.

Thanks for sharing the photos :)

Aloha, Tim

Glad you all liked them.

The Snow-Goddess is usually on the left side(3 tables), as you make the turn towards the turtle cleaning station. We have only been able to find it a few times, same area, but within about 50 feet of the same location. There has to be a food source for it around there. We just need to figure out what it eats and look for that. For now we just know the area to look.

The cowrie was under a shelf which was quite shaded (dark), but surprisingly only a few feet from the edge. The only reason I spotted it was the movement, searching for nudis at the time.

Anyway, glad you all liked the pix. I think we'll post after each dive, that is if they are worth posting.

NH,

Unbelievable shots. What kind of camera are you using?

Chris

Chris,

I'm using a Sea and Sea Dx8000g with S&S YS-110 strobes in manual mode.
The Camera has a great macro capability.
The strobes are what makes the difference though. Excellent power and coverage.
It is my first U/W camera and I've had a great time learning U/W photography with it.

Brother,

You take some great shots with that Sea & Sea. Very good quality and clarity. Even with my digital camera I've never taken shots like that.

Lisa,

When are you gonna post some more of your photos?

Chris
